Overview

Digital Press is a retro collectors book that covers 28 "Retro" machines from the time of publication, it gives a detailed overview of the machine, a list of released US titles including their rarity plus market value (Split into 2 sections, games and non-games, even though their non-games contains Beverly Hills Models, this is as general photo CD, not a 3DO "Game"). It includes a known "Prototype" section as well as a Rumor Mill section of games that were expected to be released. Lastly it also covers all hardware and peripherals which is similar to the games pages.

Console, M2	Panasonic	Infamous accelerated 3DO technology that was never to be. This unit was all about 3D gaming. It would have been the first console with a 64-bit processor and it gone out when expected, by the end of 1995. At it's core, the M2 was an IBM PowerPC 602 chip capable of handling more than a million polygons per second and able to display MPEG video (near-VHS quality). It was also reported to house 6MByte of memory and a larger data cache as well as an internal data transfer rate of 528MByte per second. Its 3D graphics chip was able to do gouraud shading, texture mapping with mip mapping on one million polygons per second and even had some hardware transparency effects capability built in. The M2 was expected to retail for $300. Alas.
