CHICAGO, IL.- CES: Dynamix, Inc. today announced the development of Stellar Fire"" for the 3DO"" Interactive Multiplayer." A marvel of hi-tech graphics, sound effects and music, Stellar Fire is a speaker-shaking, action- arcade game that will push technology and players' skills to the limit.
The year is 2206. A cybernetically linked race known as the Draxon have destroyed much of the galaxy, conquering and then assimilating alien races in a mission to expand their collective intelligence and culture. Earth's main defenses have been shattered, leaving only the special force team, Stellar Fire to stop the Draxon's march. As the head of the Stellar Fire team, players will lead an assault through the nine moons of the alien home system, piloting the ground attack vehicle, Raven, in a heroic effort to stop the advancing forces.
Featuring non-stop action, animation and sound effects to rival that of coin-op arcades, Stellar Fire is a title that will take full advantage of the enormous capabilities of the 3DO system. Thirty frames-per-second cinematic sequences with digital voice, music and sound effects surround a 3-Dimensional barrage of explosive action on seven different playing fields, making Stellar Fire an audio and visual multimedia experience of unequaled intensity.
Developed by Dynamix, Inc., Stellar Fire is the latest in a long line of best- selling titles for the computer entertainment market. Set for a Fall of '93 release, it will be one of the first titles to be released for the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer and promises to raise multimedia arcade action to new levels of realism and excitement in the home.
