DYNAMIX READIES PUZZLE-SOLVING WORKSHOP FOR THE MIND -The Incredible Machine""for the 3DO"" Interactive Multiplayer""…

CHICAGO, IL.- CES: Dynamix, Inc. today announced the development of The Incredible Machine for the 3DO"" Interactive Multiplayer,"" a puzzle-solving, creativity workshop that combines a construction kit of animated tools with fascinating and highly challenging Rube Goldberg style puzzles.

Appealing to the innate desire to create and to see what "makes things tick", The Incredible Machine is an electronic wonder that has become an instant hit in the home computer market. Players are presented with an electronic toolbox of 55 animated tools, and challenged to create machines that solve each of the game's puzzles.

Under the guidance of an animated talking host, players tackle over 140 preset puzzles using an assortment of wild tools that range from exploding cannons to hamster-driven motors- it's good, clean addictive fun rooted firmly in the wonders of physical mechanical science. Combining pulleys, motors, falling objects, gears, balloons and ropes, players face not only intense puzzles but real-life physics as well. However, designer Jeff Tunnell says that "serious fun is the bottom line and would-be inventors will find themselves captivated by the amazing array of tools and possible machines."

For those inventors wanting a more personal playground, The Incredible Machine's free-form mode is the ultimate workshop. Providing unlimited tools and instructions to "do whatever you wish", free-form mode allows the creation of whatever can be imagined. There is even a 'puzzle-building' feature along with Save and Load capabilities, allowing gamers to design and store their own puzzles for a friendly challenge or for future viewing.
