Overview

The Consumer Soft Group ( CSG ) is a group of home video game software manufacturers .

It was established in April 1988 to consolidate the exhibitions of new games that had previously been held individually by various companies, thereby reducing the time and costs involved and providing convenience to wholesalers and retailers. The exhibition, which could be considered the predecessor of the Tokyo Game Show.

Exhibitors

58 companies exhibited in Osaka and 59 in Tokyo 132 Super Famicom games, 19 PC Engine and SUPER CD-ROM2 games, 10 Mega Drive games, and 5 3DO games. The Sega Saturn was in the spotlight
