Company Overview
Axes Art Amuse (有限会社アクシズアートアミューズ) was originally Hect's first development division. It was spun off as a separate company in November 1992, and is headed by Norihiro Atsumi (渥美徳弘). While Hect seems to have disappeared, Axes still exists.
After their active game development period in the '90s, Axes Art Amuse pivoted to focus on smartphone, mobile, and internet content, as outlined in their company activities. eThe current existence and status appear more aligned with IT and digital content rather than console game development.
Origin of Name
The " AXES " in our company name, "Axis, " is the plural of "AXE," which means "axe." We chose this name with the hope of combining forces (plural) to elevate amusement ( AMUSE = fun) to the level of ART (= fine art) by taking the axe , the origin of human tools, and using it with the modern tool, "computers."
The inside story is that one of the reasons for the name was that it was decided that "the company name should start with <A> so that it would stand out in directories and lists. "
AXES is also the plural of AXIS ( meaning axis ). Please understand that it expresses our enthusiasm to "do work that is consistent and has a concept!"
