Overview

The Consumer Soft Group ( CSG ) is a group of home video game software manufacturers .

It was established in April 1988 to consolidate the exhibitions of new games that had previously been held individually by various companies, thereby reducing the time and costs involved and providing convenience to wholesalers and retailers. The exhibition, which could be considered the predecessor of the Tokyo Game Show.

Events ran from 10am to 5pm

  • 3rd-4th March - Ikebukuro Sunshine City
  • 10th-11th March - Osaka ATC Hall
  • 17th-18th March - Nagoya International Congress Center

This was the last show

Since CESA , which was established on November 28, 1995 , was conducting similar activities, the organization was dissolved and each company announced that it would move to the Tokyo Game Show, which was organized by CESA.

Exhibitors

3DO were in attendance, along with Playstation, Nintendo and Sega

(may vary depending on the venue) 59 companies exhibiting 220 types on display, 40% for PlayStation, 25% for Sega Saturn, and others for Super Famicom
